PASADENA FUNDAMENTAL SCHOOL
St. Petersburg, Florida

One of the many challenges faced with reinvigorating this campus was site planning.  This existing site had many circulation problems caused by the parent/bus drop-off chopping the site in half.  The new site plan configuration allows the school to use the site more effectively, with the new parent drop-off area allowing for over 100 cars stacking without impacting the neighborhood.  Additionally, the new site plan opens up the campus with lush green courtyards. The existing buildings were fairly utilitarian which allowed Renker Eich Parks to create a new architectural theme for the campus.

The primary buildings include a completely remodeled Administration Building (3, 700 s.f.), new Classroom Building (17,900 s.f.), new Media Center (6,200 s.f.), and new Music/ Art Suite (2,200 s.f.). These new additions totaling 31,900 s.f., with an additional 17,000 s.f. of remodeling / renovation is  due for completion by January 2000.

The total construction cost is $5,450,000.
